What is a backflow prevention device and why do I need one?
Let’s start with the basics by defining backflow. Water prefers to flow in one direction like, for instance, water sourced from the city that flows into private water supplies, like your home. Backflow occurs when there is a change in the direction of the waterflow causing it to go back into the water supply.
